Welcome

Today we all said goodbye to our club stalwart and friend Max Biles. : Friday 28th November 2009.

Max passed away in his sleep last thursday morning at just 29 years old.

He has been with us since the clubs first days, earning 85 caps and winning the second ever Idler of the year trophy in 2003.

He also currently holds the record 5th and 6th wicket partnerships and our bowling record of 5 wickets for 4 runs.

Bucket hands, sharp reflexes and great strength were keys to his game, his composure, level headedness and team work were real match winning qualities.

Max, you were a true gentleman, we will all miss you, Saturdays will never be the same again.

Idlers are a cricket club based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

We have been set up in the Hampshire league since 2002 and have achieved promotion in 6 out of 8 seasons, though only finishing as league champions once (2006).

We once again gained promotion in 2009, finishing 3rd, and will now be playing in the dizzy heights of County Division 2.

Idler of the year and other awards are to be decided in the coming weeks.
